Content Support in Recall

Recall supports a wide range of content types so you can save, summarize, and chat with material from across the web and your own files. Use the table below to see what you can save today, any known limitations, and what we are planning on building next. Looking for something we do not support yet? Request it on our feedback board or follow progress on the Expand Sources roadmap.

How to save content

Click Add to open Add Content, then paste a URL or upload a file. On Plus and Max, you can add up to 10 URLs or upload up to 10 files at once. Keep each file upload to one category: images, PDFs, EPUBs, or text and Markdown files.

You can also drop files onto your library or share one link or file at a time to Recall from your phone’s share menu. Use the Recall AI extension for the best results on paywalled pages and pages that require you to sign in.

Social posts

When saving social posts from X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, or TikTok, keep these points in mind. Image and video support varies by source; see the table above for details:

AI reads any text in a post’s images and describes what they show. A post with more than 20 images is saved without reading or describing its images.
If a video transcript can’t be retrieved, the card is still saved with a warning.
Age-restricted content is saved as a link with any public details that are available, and the card shows a warning.
